About Us

In our stunningly beautiful café and garden we serve real 'no junk-no gunk' food, individually prepared and brought to you on our own painted crockery. Our homemade soups, salads, light meals and cakes will remind you of how food should taste when you eat out, and tempt you towards a wide choice of imaginative and delicious cooking. We can usually offer gluten & dairy free options.

For your coffee we grind the Fair Trade beans to order and our Italian coffee machine generates your piping hot cup to order, available in 7 different styles and upon request, we are happy to make further adjustments to your taste . We also have the full range of teas and herbal teas, additive-free soft drinks and organic wines and beers.

However, Cobbles and Clay is not just a superb café it is also an Art Café! So although we are happy to welcome you to come just for a meal or drink, we can also offer much more than this. Pottery painting is fun for all ages and abilities. We provide you with a choice of unglazed pottery shapes which you paint to your own design (don’t worry we expect to help you if you want). Then we glaze it in our kiln for you to keep forever...that is unless you want to give it away as a very special present to a very special person.

So you can come to eat, drink, paint or buy some painted pottery - or any combination of these!

In our food, in our pottery painting and in the café itself we convey Personal Service, Friendliness, Imagination, Colour and Design!

Finally you can purchase a Gift Token (available denominations of £10,£15 and £20, but other can be prepared by request !  )  for a friend in the form a painted pottery shape.
