It’s November and we’ve decided that we no longer have to feel bad about talking about Christmas. Our trusty team in the kitchen have put all their heads together to come up with a truly tasty Christmas menu that we will be serving on Friday 11th December between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. It’s been a work in progress for a few weeks but we have finally confirmed the menu to include all of the flavours we know and love in the Christmas season.

Booking is imperative as we wouldn’t want to disappoint, so you can either call us, email us or pop in when you’re next in the village to book your table. Tickets will be £24.95 per person which include three courses and serving of Pimms on arrival. Now onto the oh-so-important dishes …

 

Starters

Mrs Bells blue cheese, spiced pear, salad leaves and a cracked walnut dressing

Caramelised onion and goats cheese tart on a bed of salad leaves with balsamic dressing

The original lentil and vegetable soup

Crayfish cocktail – shredded lettuce, crayfish, a legendary marie rose sauce served with seeded bread and a dusting of fennel pollen.


Mains

Pan seared fillet of salmon, colcannon potato cake in a creamy salt and pepper sauce served with capers and green peppercorns

Turkey hot pot – Seared turkey breast with new potatoes in a bacon and leek sauce with a crisp Yorkshire pudding

Vegetable and lentil pie with pickled red cabbage

Red wine, steak, pearl barley and vegetable stew

A choice of delicious homemade cakes will be available for you to choose from.
