As we step into a shiny New Year, many of us will be following the old tradition of making a resolution to give us a focus and ultimately help us feel like, better-rounded people!

When it comes to resolutions we find that keeping it simple is the key to success so thought we’d try making things a bit easier for all of our lovely customers by suggesting a few ideas:

  • Learn a new skill – Not just a good way to pick up a new talent, but it would also open the door to meeting new people. Whether you’re feeling creative, musical or adventurous to try new things, there’ll certainly something going on in our local area of Haworth to get you inspired. Jill completed a course with Grand Illusions Vintage Paint last year to learn how to refurbish pieces of furniture, and if you want to do something similar please get in touch as we are thinking of running a course in the café. We are also running an adult contemporary stitching group starting on 14th January and sewing for fun workshops with Diane from Wave of Nostalgia starting on 9th February, more information about these classes can be found on our Special Events page. For other creative new skills, whether it’s Yoga or Bollywood dancing, check out what our friends at Kala Sangam have to offer for unique classes and events, you might find your calling!DryJanuary
  • #DryJanuary – You may have spotted the advert on television at the moment promoting #DryJanuary, a great way to give your body a well-deserved break after getting into the festive spirit. If you’re having a #DryJanuary, you’ll be relieved to know that we have a special collection of non-alcoholic ‘Posh Pops’ in flavours such as Dandelion & Burdock, Sloe Lemonade, Ginger Beer and Plum & Cherry for you to try and enjoy without the hangover!
  • StewGo veggie or vegan! – Back in the early days we started out as a vegetarian café, so we’re all too familiar with how easy it can be to make meals which miss out the meat but not the flavour. One of the best ways to get a feel for veggie dishes is to try them whilst dining out, and with so many cafés and restaurants now catering for many diets it’s getting easier. A copy of our menu can be found on our website here.

We hope all of our coffee loving customers have a fantastic 2016 and we look forward to serving you this year!
